Sauteed Green Beans with Garlic

This fresh green beans recipe is a perfect healthy side dish. All you need is a pile of fresh string beans, one pot, garlic, olive oil and a little spice! This garlic sauteed green beans is a fan favorite!

INGREDIENTS – 2 Tbl extra virgin olive oil – 1/2 tsp red pepper flake, or to taste – 1.5 lbs green beans, trimmed – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1/2 tsp coarse kosher salt – 2 Tbl water

Step 1 Line up your fresh green beans and cut the stems off with a sharp knife

Step 2 Finely chop garlic 

Step 3 Heat oil in a skillet. Add red pepper flakes and let the flakes bloom 

Step 4 Add green beans and let blister in the hot oil. Stir often to make sure they saute a bit 

Step 5 Add in garlic and salt and stir well

Step 6 Finish by steaming beans with a little water until they are crisp tender
