Description

Why do you need to make this air fryer bang bang cauliflower? It’s a tasty appetizer with a kick that is so easy to make! The bang bang sauce is made with Greek yogurt and honey, so it’s a must have for guilt-free snacking! You’ll feel great serving this to your family because they are getting a healthy dose of nutritious cauliflower in every bite!

Ingredients

Scale

1 large head of cauliflower, cored, cut into even size florets

1/2 cup corn starch

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp paprika

2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp cayenne

1 cup water

For the Bang Bang Sauce

1/4 cup greek yogurt

2 tablespoon sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha

1 1/2 tsp sesame oil

1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

Wash the cauliflower head and cut them into florets.
In a mixing bowl – combine all dry ingredients (flour, garlic powder, onion
powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, black pepper) then whisk in water until batter has no
lumps.
Add fresh cauliflower florets to batter and mix well to evenly coat with
batter.
Coat air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray, then add battered
florets to air fryer basket in a single layer. Also, try to keep them from
touching so that all sides can get air flow around them.
Air fry them at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, shaking the basket half way through.

While the cauliflower is in the air fryer, make the sauce by whisking together all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.  Once the cauliflower comes out of the air fryer, toss with sauce.  Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Make sure cauliflower pieces are similar in size. This ensures even cooking time for your air fryer bang bang cauliflower.

Shake the basket! Another way to ensure even cooking with each piece of cauliflower is to shake the basket a couple times during the cooking process.

Spray the air fryer! Spraying the basket with Olive Oil Spray or grapeseed spray. It prevents the cauliflower from sticking. Alternatively, you can use perforated air fryer parchment paper.
