Description
Our simple-to-prepare ground turkey stir-fry is ready in less than 30 minutes. It’s made with lean ground turkey, peppers, veggies, and a simple, sweet, savory hoisin stir-fry sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon dry sherry or Shaoxing wine
- 2 teaspoons white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons high-heat cooking oil such as grapeseed or avocado oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 each red and yellow pepper, diced
- 1 cup chopped scallions (about 1/2 bunch)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted if desired
Instructions
- Whisk together broth, hoisin, sherry or Shaoxing, vinegar, and cornstarch in a small dish.
- Heat oil in a large heavy skillet or wok over high heat. Add garlic, onion, and ginger and stir-fry until the onion is starting to soften and turn translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add in turkey and break apart with a spatula. Cook, crumbling the meat as it cooks until it is only pink in a couple of spots, 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add in peppers and the sauce and cook, stirring often until the peppers are tender and the sauce is thick, 5 to 6 minutes.
- Stir in scallions and remove from the heat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
