Maple Glazed Carrots

These simple Maple Glazed Carrots are made with pure maple syrup, butter, shallot and a touch of cinnamon that coats the carrots with the most delicious glaze. They’re great as a simple stove-top side dish to make for Thanksgiving!

Step 1 Heat butter in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add shallot and cook, stirring, 1 to 2 minutes, until soft and browned 

Step 2 Add water, syrup, salt, and cinnamon. Increase heat to high and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add carrots and return to a simmer.

Step 3 Cover, reduce heat to medium to maintain a lively simmer, and cook until carrots are crisp-tender.

Step 4 Stir in vinegar. Increase heat to medium-high and continue cooking, stirring often until liquid has thickened and carrots are coated. Serve warm.
